The
Final of the 2024 Major Singles Championship was played this
afternoon (17/11/2024). The Final was between the current Singles
Champion, Greg Shirley Vs Grant (come back kid) Watson. It's hard to
believe that this was only Grant's fifth game in two years!!!
The conditions for the game were near perfect, warm with a slight breeze, to keep everyone comfortable.
Despite
Grant's sensational semi-final win yesterday, he played against an
'on-fire' Greg today. Greg got into the lead and just kept going.
Congratulations to Grant on making the final of the UBMBC premier event,
after a long time out of the game. But it was a sensational back to
back major singles win by Greg.
