Congratulations
to John Hall, Warren Brooks, Rob Merrill & Colin Mew on winning the
Central Coast Bowls 2024/2025 Reserve Fours Championship, against the
Mingara Mustangs 17 - 15, at Ettalong Bowling Club this afternoon
(16/11/2024).
The
boys had a very handy lead 16 - 8 at the half way stage, but Mingara
clawed their way back into the game and it was Umina 16 - Mingara 15
going into the last end. Not too many close bowls on the last end and
Mingara were holding one shot, which was just under a metre away. In
came Rob Merril with his second bowl and drew a resting toucher (at
3.44pm). Umina won the end and the title 17 - 15. Sensational win by the
boys, who now play in the State play offs in Ballina next year. Go
Umina.....
