The Final of the 2024 Veteran Singles was played in near perfect conditions this afternoon, between Allan Jones & Kevin Bettridge.

got out to a quick fire 10 - 0 lead after 7 ends, then 16 - 6 after 11
ends. Kevin hung in there and started to draw very well. He reduced the
lead to 19 - 17 after 18 ends. Kevin went on to win 5 of the next 7 ends
to take the lead 24 - 23 after 25 ends. Kevin held his nerve when it
looked like AJ held game, but drew shot to take out the title 25 - 23.
This was anyones game, but Kevin deserved the win after such a great
fight back. Congratulations Men on a great Final. The enthusiastic
spectators were glued to their seats, right to the end. Bowls was
definitely the winner in this game. Very well done Kev and AJ.
